3 Drawer Heavy Duty Filing Cabinet - "Marshall Field & Company" Memorabilia

I acquired this 3 drawer real heavy duty filing cabinet back in 79 / 80 and never gave it any thought back then. It remained in my shop then storage for years until I finally needed the space and not the cabinet. To clean it up for sale I took the power brush to it to remove old stickers that were plastered all over it and give it a new paint job when under a STP sticker popped out the Brass name plate showing "Marshall Field & Company Retail Chicago" on it.

I guess that now makes it a Collectors item under the category of Marshall Field & Company Memorabilia from some unknown year way prior to 1979/80. That also happens to be when filing cabinets were made in the USA out of real heavy gauge steel and not that paper thin cheap crap from China you find in Office Max, etc. This cabinet weighs 3 to 4 times as much as one of those Asian imports.

It's not new and it's not perfect but it is what it is and seems to be the only one of it's kind which I guess makes it kind of special since none come up on Google searches. So, if you are into rare things from the past, especially "Marshall Field & Company", then this may be your lucky day. Of course it's also your luck day if you just want a Good Old heavy duty Made in the USA Filing Cabinet with a black satin finish coating and brass name plate and hardware cleaned up.

You will need to bring your own muscle power to load this Cabinet into a vehicle it will fit in as I can't help you load. So two people minimum better show up so you don't bust a nut loading it all on your own.
