This is a nice clean TEKTRONIX 2440 500 MS/s DIGITAL OSCILLOSCOPE that was rack mounted (hence no
handles) and working fine before left to sit over 2 years long. Upon power up self-diagnostics it now throws
off error codes as shown on screen some of which maybe internal battery related. However, I am not a tech
guy or have time to get into repairs so this unit is being sold "AS IS for Parts or Repair Only, and priced
accordingly and Firm.
If you have time to fix this unit you will have an excellent Oscilloscope with the great Tektronix reputation. If
you all ready have a Tektronix 2440 and want back up parts (great idea) or are into electronic repairs then this
may also be for you. It originally came out of a leading electronics lab that took outstanding care for all their
equipment so it has a good background. It's future however is up to you.

Timeless and Still Highly Effective
No doubt these are one of the most advanced analog scopes ever built.
Tektronix 2400 Series oscilloscopes were perhaps the most powerful instruments of their time and still widely used today. The 2430 series of digitizing storage oscilloscopes were their equal in the digital storage world. They combined high bandwidth and sampling rates with powerful automation features and waveform processing capabilities. In 1991, four models were available: 2430A, 2431L, 2432A, and 2440. These oscilloscopes are more, much more, than indicators of waveforms. Together with the 2402 and a PC, they constitute a complete waveform processing and analysis system.
The 2440 is a 2 Channel, 300 MHz, Digital Oscilloscope. It combines high bandwidth and sampling rates with powerful automation features and waveform processing capabilities. Measurement accuracy is 8-bits vertical (11-bits with averaging. The 2440 features auto setup, auto pass/fail testing, auto sequencing, and auto measurement of 21 different waveform parameters. Measurements are available on-screen or can be exported via an IEEE488 gpib port to a printer or plotter. |
